John Forberger

John helps retail partners like SaaS companies and ecommerce agencies get seen by brands through public relations tactics. Having led PR programs for Zehner, Skava, Digital Operative, Splitit, WebLinc, Stitch Labs and other merchant vendors, John knows how to dig for and deliver compelling stories to the press that create leads.

Before launching Forberger Communications, John served as Communications and Public Relations Manager at SaaS ecommerce company WebLinc, parent company of Workarea and Orderbot. There, he collaborated with executives, investors, customers (retailers), partners, plus the account management, product and sales teams. His media relations tactics produced coverage in business publications like The Washington Post, Fast Company and TechCrunch, as well as broadcast appearances (CBC), podcasts, speaking engagements (IRCE), and bylines in pivotal retail trade publications (Retail TouchPoints, Internet Retailer). In addition to media outreach, John handled analyst relations efforts, produced marketing and sales collateral including website copy, webinars, blog posts, white papers, case studies, on top of proposals, speeches, and more.

Pre-WebLinc days, John led communications and new business development for high-profile public relations firms in New York City and an award-winning agency in New Jersey. While there, he reorganized new business procedures including digital marketing initiatives that broadened agency exposure to a fresh network of B2C and B2B companies. Signed clients included consumer brands, non-profits, experiential marketing agencies, advertising agencies, and branding agencies.
