John Forberger

John helps commerce companies tell their stories to the appropriate audiences.  Having led public relations programs internally and externally for brands and orgs of all sizes, his vast communications background is utilized to complement internal marketing team’s efforts.

Over 16 years, John has developed and executed tailored PR programs independently or in partnership with Acoustic Research, Skava, Stitch Labs, WebLinc, Zehner, Workarea, Orderbot, Schar USA, Eye Level, Nylon Studios, non-profits, and others.

Most recently, John served as Communications and Public Relations Manager at ecommerce software company WebLinc where he collaborated with executives, investors, customers (retailers), partners, plus the account management, product and sales teams.  His media relations tactics produced coverage in national business publications like The Washington Post, Fast Company and TechCrunch, as well as broadcast appearances, podcasts, speaking engagements, and bylines in pivotal industry trade publications (i.e., Retail TouchPoints, Internet Retailer).  In addition to handling analyst relations efforts, John produced marketing and sales collateral including website copy, webinars, blog posts, white papers, case studies, on top of proposals, speeches, and more.

Before WebLinc, John directed communications and new business development for high-profile PR businesses in New York City and an award-winning agency in New Jersey.  While there, he reorganized new business procedures including digital marketing initiatives that broadened agency exposure to a fresh network of B2C and B2B companies.  Signed clients included government bodies, manufacturers, non-profits, experiential marketing agencies, traditional agencies, and branding agencies.
